Aitutaki
Aitutaki was awarded the most beautiful island in the world and rightfully so. The island is part of Cook Islands and is situated in the Pacific Ocean. Aitutaki consists of many motus which makes a circle. In the middle there is a beautiful turquoise lagoon. To snorkel or scuba dive here is like snorkeling in an aquarium. In addition to fishes in all kinds of colors and shapes, the view is fantastic as the water is so clear and it is good for everybody from amateurs to professionals.

One day we had lunch on a boat. After the meal the cook threw all the plates into the water. A shoal of fish came and in seconds they were all "clean". "Cook Island dish washer" the cook said.

Aitutaki offers everything from private accommodation to resorts with bungalows on the beach. The latter is beautiful and the price level is way below that of French Polynesia. The island is not very big, which means you will not meet big groups of tourists. Here you can wander along paradise like white beaches and only see your own footprints. Especially on One Foot Island. The temperature lies between 20-30C/70-85F year round. It is really the ultimate paradise. Pack your bag and go now!!
