The Gioconda smile of Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci (1503-1519): Oil on wood. Original is in Paris at the Louvre.

Leonardo Da Vinci: Leonardo is noted to be the first artist to paint atmosphere, the air that fills the space between the eye and the subject or object. This concept is seen in his most famous painting of the Mona Lisa. People attest to how her eyes seem to follow you around, and how the feeling around the original painting is undescribable. I remember watching the movie "Da vinci Code" and Tom Hanks was narrating his experience during the filming of the movie, he said he could not describe the feeling of awe he felt just being close to the art piece, incredible.

One of Italy's most famous artists well known for painting the Mona Lisa and the Last Super: You will find the great work of "The Las Super" that Leonardo da Vinci was commissioned to paint by Ludovico il Moro, from 1496 to 1498, in the refectory of the Dominican convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, outside the church a door, on your right, will lead you into it. It is one of the most famous works of art in the world, and has long been an icon of Western civilization. The scene portrays the moment in which Jesus tells his disciples that one of them is about to betray him. The Last Supper is included in the UNESCO's list. The Last Supper painted by Leonardo da Vinci is ingeniously devised as an expansion of the perspective of the space in which it is set (1495-1497).

Michelangelo without any doubt was a genius, too!
Da Vinci however with all his inventions and anatomical drawings, to name just a few aspects, was way ahead of his time!

He was the master indeed. Some argue that Michelangelo out painted him, what say you?
