Wadi Siji
Wadi Siji is just a short drive from Sharjah. A recommended sight for picnic during rainfall season. Its a valley on the way from the small city of Al Dhaid(formally an Oasis) to Fujairah. Roads are paved so its easy to go there. Siji is famous for its space on the sides and the dams. A recently built major dam is constructed to include a parking space and walk passage on its wall.
During weekends after rainfall, people will rush from early morning to the site but its worthwhile to go and have a sneak, explore the place and perhaps swim. Few farms are around, fed from the Wadi.
The scene is splendid as the valley is filled with water, clouds are covering the mountains, people are relaxing, kids are swimming and hunting frogs and small fish.
Bear in mind that its not recommended to visit the place during the hot weather time as the valley is dry.
