I got up very early for being on holiday; 6.30 grabbed a shower and got down to the breakfast table outside on the promenade. I was clearly the first one, the tables were not sat yet but the young guy making them was really friendly and talkative and I didn’t mind, I was alone anyway.
I got a full breakfast with cheeses, juice and coffee and was already for the coming 4 hours of golf in the wind. Was the wind hard the day before then it was close to storm now, but nothing should stop my golf. I met with David at the car and we went to Golf de Sperone looking at the waves on the sea; they were at least 15 meters long, it was going to be windy.
We arrived at Sperone at 7.
After finalizing the first nine the world champion retired and after some discussion amongst with the local president of the club who said why not we continued, and thanks for that. The back nine was far less disturbed by the wind except the wonderful hole 16. We played both well and fast and had a fabulous time. Coming in we were met by a lot of questions because we were the first that played the back nine that day.Once back in the clubhouse we had a cold beer for each leg and smiled at the wonderful course where we had so much joy the two last days.
