So, the Sand Müze is 6 Lira for Locals - no idea how much for tourists. Many things in Turkey have two prices (officially). This is so that the locals can visit their own attractions. After some complaints that the turks were not able to see their own sights, the government made it free for turks to visit historical sights and such. Unfortunately, some people were smarter (or this they thought) and started lending their ID Cards for a small fee to tourists, so they had to do away with this. Then it had become to expensive for locals to visit their own sights that now they can purchase a Müze Card - I was told only for locals, but I heard some people say, they own one ??? so I am not sure. My friend was not allowed to buy one.
Back to the Müze - this years theme was Mythology. I enjoyed the Art and was fascinated at how people can create such beautiful things. I have two left hands and no green thumb and I am always impressed when somebody is artistic.
I will try to remember who all those Myth were, but there was one that had no sign to it - the one from Africa - so if anybody can give some clues or know the myth - I would be thankful.
The Müze was very educational as when we went home, we researched some of the Myth of course and so it was a fun and educational day.
