Walking along the Boardwalk in the high heat was made a little more bearable when you are doing it with Carlos, Montecarlostar. I really enjoyed meeting up with him. We started out by eating dinner at the Salt Grass restaurant along the Boardwalk in Shreveport, LA. We laughed and enjoyed some great conversation in this great steak house. Our waitress, Robin, was really funny and made sure that everything was good. She even offered to takes some photos of us on the patio. I thought that was a really nice gesture. 

There was so much to see and so much to do along the Boardwalk. The entire place had speakers blaring the words of all those Michael Jackson songs. I am sorry that he met death at such an early age, but I am already tired of all the media frenzy surrounding him. The death was being celebrated at a venue along the boardwalk with hundreds of people, many not even old enough to really know who Michael was, and others, like me, there observing all of this and trying to make sense of it all. .

Carlos wrote some really great reviews about the evening, so I will not double up. He hit it right. The boardwalk, the restaurant and the evening were all just right. I am sure we will meet up again and create some more memories. I am looking forward to that.
