First and the best stop of my South America trip.. Unlike everyone's general opinion Colombia is a safe a beautiful place.. With proper attention it's much much safer than US..

Bogota, Colombia Travel Photos

Best, safest and cleanest place for Backpackers
It's not the most luxurious place in Bogota but for a backpacker, it's more than enough and for a very affordable price..
Wifi, Laundry service, 24h free coffee, optional breakfast and group dinners are available..
Multilingual staff are very helpful and very kind.. It's itself safe but you also have your own lockers here..
It's also a wonderful place to meet other travelers..
I definitely recommend here for backpackers :))

Thanks a lot Alyssa :) You're right there is almost no train in SA..You need to take a bus or plane.. I used both in different places. It was quite safe for me and I think it's also very safe for girls. But of course you always need to be careful.. I saw many girls traveling around SA, but as I said both for men or women, taking care of themselves is the first necessity.. If you decide to go there, I can give you safe contacts in almost every city and country that I visited..
