My friend was happier now that we've got a ticket out of Thailand flying Tiger Air. We continued on with our last tour, Damnoen Saduak Floating market. We didn't buy anything nor did we eat anything from there at all. We just browsed, the prices were AT LEAST double the price of Bangkok. CRAZY! After the floating market, we went to this woodcarving place, the amount of work that's put in to every detail of the carvings were breathtaking. The highlight of that day was seeing a busload of Europeans in their bikini tops and short shorts. LOL I think they're lost coz the beach was nowhere near Ratchaburi. Hahahaha Even the men were dressed in short shorts. o_O   We then made our way back to Bangkok before being taken to a jewellery store, the people there were so pushy.

They dictated which way you should go and once again, they noticed we weren't interested in their stuff. They decided to insult us by saying, there are cheaper options over there, if you can't afford these. *points to silver cabinet* As soon as we heard that, we walked out again. I was so tempted to give them the finger. LOL
We asked our tour guide not to drop us off at the hotel but at MBK. We had lunch at the food court, their food court is wayyyyy better than the ones found in Australia. I'm quite surprised! Even their public transport system is better. I don't get it... Australia is meant to be a rich country yet it can't seem to run an efficient train system. It would certainly put Connex to shame. The BTS comes every 3mins or something and it's clean, airconditioned and on time! We did more shopping for the people we forgot to buy a present for, checked the news online and then bought tickets for Twilight.
(Love this movie)

We returned to the hotel only to find a note slipped through our door. The Australian embassy rep was at the hotel discussing travel options. We realized we missed out so we rang Aus Embassy, they advised us to go to THai Airways head office and see if we can fly back to Australia from Utapao Navy Base. Headed back down, caught the BTS to Mo Chit. Hailed a taxi to take us to the Thai Airways head office. We got there, explained what was happening and we were given two options. Fly to Sydney and make our way home or wait until the airport opens so we can catch a flight back to Melbourne. This simply isn't good enough for us since they said if we did decide to take that option, we wouldn't be back in Melb til December 5 (the earliest). So we demanded a refund, they told us to organize it in Melbourne. We thanked them and left. Spent the night packing up, we were checking out a day earlier.
