Rassada Pier, Phuket Town
Woke up early, grabbed breakfast at 6 then waited for our driver to take us to Rassada Pier in Phuket
Town for our Phi Phi Island tour. The ferry ride from Phuket to Phi Phi took about 2 hours. We were mistaken for Koreans & was slapped a "No program" sticker. At that time, we thought nothing of it... we waited to be taken to the snorkelling area, found no one showing us the way. We then got worried & made our way back to the ferry and demanded to speak to someone and find out what's going on. It turns out that they've already left & we had to wait for another boat to take us around Phi Phi Ley. The boat finally arrived 30 minutes later than what they told us! The journey was enjoyable, our frustration was slowly fading away.
The view was excellent, we finally reached Maya Bay - I donned by snorkelling gear & life vest. For someone who don't know how to swim AT ALL, I was pretty confident I can handle swimming/snorkelling in the deep blue sea. It wasn't until I let go of the handrail that I freaked out, screaming & crying. Just the thought of not knowing what's down below and missing the feel of solid ground under my feet was enough to send me over the edge. They had to bring me back to the boat. LOL In typical ME fashion, I laughed off the experience. We went back to Phi Phi Don, had lunch and explored, bought 1 souvenir - a cool bracelet. The trip back to Phuket seemed shorter, there were no more seats inside so we had to settle with sitting at the top. The rest of the night was spent walking around Patong.
