temple of martial arts
July 25, 2009
in the morning we reach the Shaolin temple where martial arts were born. Temple structures in china are very similar, but here we see monks and martial art students walking around, exercising, posing on top of rocks and moving in a forste of Stupas. We attend a show with some impressive acts, but also some low key tourist stage appearances...
Letizia looses her sunglasses (she will buy a 5 euros fashionable model in Beijing to replace them)
chinese restaurant lunch with noodles - this time a little cleaner than usual
In the afternoon to the huge new Zenghzhou airport. We find an internt cafe' - I ask how much does it cost and a very nice hostess says "it's free if you order a coffe" i do so and at the end the coffee carries a price tag of 8 Euros (in china you could have a good luch for that money)
the flight is late; dinner onboard is 3 small tomtoes, a muffin, a very small sandwich
Eventually we arrive in Chengdu Dinasty Yinhe hotel - very nice with complimentary food basket
We were in Chengdu in 2000 but we do not recognize it, all new high rise buildings!
