The day is still young as I head on back to Marley le Roi.  Since these suburbs are quite small, it looks like I might be able to set a record for number of towns visited in a day…

Marley le Roi is another upscale suburb.  In a neighbourhood park I find a couple of plum trees laden with fresh fruit and I’m unable to resist… An older fellow stares at me as I shake down a hailstorm of fruit.  Maybe he thinks that’s kind of a hobo thing to do.  But as I walk away I turn around and see him doing the exact same thing!

I head on down a beautiful old street… I have good memories of my first wandering through this town.  And my priority is to revisit the vast royal Park Marley at the edge of town.

The Marley Park is about the size of a suburb itself.  At one time it may have rivalled Versaille in grandeur.  But now there are not chateaus or buildings left--  but there is a beautiful pool lined by manicured bushes and vast lawns.  One either side are two long, tree lined paths.

Not a lot of people here, just a few sunbathers… I find a shady spot with a nice view and strum for a bit… I take a stroll around the park to enjoy the statues, read the historical markers and soak in the history of the place…

Then back to downtown Marley le Roi, and on my way…
