This morning we drove to
After walking around the town for a while we went to have golf lessons. I could not participate due to my back injury so I made myself useful by taking lots of pictures of the kiddos.
When we got back to our hotel area we had a demonstration by a Scottish Clansmen.
After dinner we had to make up the Caleigh that we missed the night before. Only instead of having our own private lessons we were now going to have to attend the town Caleigh. When we walked in, there were at least 100 old men and women all dressed up in kilts and dresses dancing their butts off! We went up to the balcony for a better view. It was truly impressive. The dancing was a cross between square dancing and line dancing. There was a live band playing on the stage and between each dance a lady would get on the microphone and explain the steps of the next dance. All their circling, switching partners, twirling and kicking looked like a kaleidoscope. The old people were having the time of their lives. They were serious about it too! When someone messed up, another one would push them into place. We watched for about an hour. I enjoyed it but it was so hot in the balcony that an hour was way too long. One of the most enjoyable parts was when Lori spotted a lady with no rhythm. Hysterical! I swear we watched her for a good thirty minutes straight. At the intermission we were invited to go downstairs and learn some dances. The first was a dance in a big circle where the girls went one direction and the boys when the other. I started off being a boy but halfway through I got turned around and was doing the girl part. The second dance was with a partner. It was pretty simple back and forth but still fun.
