Pictures don't do it justice

Today was awesome! We started the day on a horse drawn jaunty cart ride through the Gap of Dunloe. The scenery was amazing. There were huge green mountains and glacier-formed lakes. The rain was on and off but it didn’t matter because everything was so pretty. We joked that it looked like the old Irish Spring commercials. Come to find out, that is really where they filmed them! Once we got through the mountain pass we got onto boats and rode down through the three lakes. There were bridges and rivers in between them. We saw the biggest mountain in Ireland which I can’t pronounce but our boat driver told us it was 2,400 ft. These are probably my best photos of the trip.

The evening wasn’t very eventful. Our hotel was in Limerick which we were told is a high crime city. We stayed in the hotel and used the extra time to have the students do some personal reflection. We are about mid-trip now and I can see the students starting to get on each others’ nerves. Kind of like how Jacob is getting on mine. I think our little session was good to keep everyone’s character in check, including mine!
