Marquelia, Guerrero

Well, when my aunt told me I was going to Marquelia, I was thought that we were going to some boring cheap place. We got on the tour bus and the bus driver drove for 8 hours straight without stopping at a gas station. We finally got to our destination, and when I woke up, i was like "WOW!" The most beautiful place I've ever been to. The beach was clean, the hotel was clean and it had air conditioner. The beach and the resort are not private but we had it all to ourselves since not a lot of people know about this paradise. It had a couple of things that i didn't like for example the whole menu is fish. I don't eat anything that comes from the sea, lakes, river, etc... not even shrimp. So I spent three days eating fruit, tortillas with beans and Mexican cheese with jalapenos. It was ok I guess but I would defenitively go back next year. The town of Marquelia is horrible, not trying to be mean but every little town has a "Mercado" but this mercado was dirty and all they had was fish. The name of the beach we were at is called "Playa Hermosa" The water is so warm from the time you wake up till the time you go to sleep and 8' waves, not really for surfers though. I do recommend you going to Marquelia! But it's hard to get there and you have to find tour companies that go to Marquelia because it is not that popular like other cities but it is really nice.
