It was raining when we got out of our shuttle bus right outside the Pila Gate. We headed for the first shop we could find to get some Kuna, the currency of Dubrovnik and Croatia. We were told that most of the vendors would take Euros, but we didn't wanna take any chances. We exchanged some money and moved on.
We bought tickets to get on top of the city wall. We walked around the whole 1.9 km of fortress wall. We had a wonderful view from up there. You can see every church from every angle from above. The city harbor is also impressive. We climbed the Minceta tower and took in more views from there. This is when the sun came out for a brief moment.
After our round about, we walked down Stradun, Dubrovnik's main street toward St. Blaise church and back. I managed to get a beautiful seashell shaped magnet and a couple of postcards. After a cappuccino we had to get back to the shuttle and the ship.
Dubronik, definitely a place I would want to come back to and spend more time.
