Wkend in Houston,Texas

This place is located in the rice Village area. There was a live band playing spanish music, not flameco but salsa & merengue. They were great. Everybody dancing around the tables. We ordered Mojitos and then other friends got the sangria. This is a Tapas & Sangria's restaurant. Plates are small just enough to share. I always get one tapa but if you are hungry order at least 2. My friend got the Paella (which I hate). She said it was really good! We also got some goat cheese with garlic bread to start.

This place surprised me!!! I didn’t know so many Colombians lived in Houston!! I had the idea that most hispanics in Texas were from Mexico. I met people from Peru, Mexico, Venezuela and Colombia in this place. We all share the taste for Vallenatos which is a kind of music from Colombia. I didnt know everybody else liked it! :)
Alebrije is a restaurant(colombian food) during the day and after dinner it's a club. The owner is a famous Colombian actor/model that now lives in Houston.
I loved this place, the music and the sell Aguardiente which is what we drink when we go out in Colombia!
We got a table with the bottle and were dancing all night. well until 2 am only!!!! I wanted to stay here longer! I loved that the place is an smoke-free club! I dont know if that's the way it is b/c is a restaurant or if in Texas is a law for bars/clubs! in Florida everybody smokes inside and I hate it!
