Belize City, again..

Just on our way out of Belize city now. We headed back on the water taxi this morning. We were thinking about taking a day trip on a boat up to the reef, but decided against it in the end as we've got so much area to cover and just wanted to get on with our travelling! Also, Rusty's shoulders got a little burnt yesterday, so we decided that a day of too much sun on a boat probably wasn't the best idea for us.
So we're back here in the water taxi terminal. We decided to take the bus operator that they sort out from here to Flores our next destination. It's $20 which may be a bit more than taking a local bus, but we've heard that Belize City isn't really the nicest or safest place to be, so this way we get picked up directly from here. Hence, we're now killing time in the internet cafe again. The bus also goes directly to Flores (with a stop at the border for passport stamping etc) so we don't have to waste time finding a new bus on the other side of the border.
Yesterday, our last night on Caye Caulker was really lovely. It was really windy so we tried to find a restaurant that wasn't exposed. We managed to find our lobster and had a really great meal of garlic lobster with potatoes and some other stuff, all for only BZ$20 (about 6 pounds) which included unlimited rum punch! Pretty good deal..
We're hoping to stay in Los Amigos hostel in Flores (www.amigoshostel.com) , but it doesn't take advance bookings, so I guess we'll just have to see when we turn up!
