My sister and I drove around the south island in 2 weeks. Round trip starting and finishing in Christchurch.

Shotover Canyon Swing

Woke early and walked into town to be driven to Shotover Canyon.  The weather was very cold and snowing a little.  I was booked in to do the canyon swing and was massively terrified!

The whole experience was very stressful and scary but ultimately very satisfying and well worth it for the adrenaline rush!  Never done anything like that before but I would do it again!  I jumped twice in the end, as the second jump was extremely cheap and it seemed rude not to!

We then went for lunch and more shopping back in Queenstown then up the gondola to the theatre/restaurant/bar at the top.  The restaurant, if I remember, was rather pricey for us but we were there for the Kiwi Haka show which was entertaining and made us feel a bit cultured!  They get people involved during the show and you can take loads of photos afterwards.

Later it was into town for some food at the World Bar.
