I spent 8 days in Taiwan, joining an international tour group to tour the island.

Day 1: Taipei

I left Schiphol Airport on monday the 25th of june at 7:45 pm (local time) heading for Taiwan's capital, Taipei. We flew to Bangkok first, where we had to leave the plane for 1 hour as it was refueled and cleaned. Then we flew to Taipei, landing there on tuesday the 26th of june at 5:30 pm  (local time). I had spent a total of 15 hours on a plane and because of the time difference (6 hours), my body felt as if it was awake for 24 hours.

My ride to the hotel was waiting for me, as I was taken to the Fortuna Hotel for 2 nights. I arrived there at around 6:45 pm and checked into my room. I took a shower and then went out to get a bite to eat. After a small dinner in a restaurant, I went to my hotel room to sleep, as I was very tired from the flight and time difference.

As soon as my face landed on the pillow, I was off to dreamland. A phone call interrupted my sleep and as I figured it was morning, I said "Good morning" only to discover it was still 10:00 pm the same day! It was the tour guide for the round trip of the island, welcoming me and telling when I would be picked up when the tour of the island would start. I listened and wrote down the information, despite my sleepy state and as I put the horn down, I fell right back to sleep. I had a great night's sleep!

Wat leuk! Ik ga alles lezen, ben zeer benieuwd wat je allemaal nog gaat meemaken verderop in de blog! (en dat terwijl jij het allemaal al hebt meegemaakt jaren geleden)
