Day 7 1/2 - Trapped in a small airport

So once we arrived to the Toluca airport (which is quite small) that is practically brand new and has almost no businesses on it (none at all past security) we went directly past security and all we had to do was wait, because they don't assign gates to the flights until you're about to leave and everyone has to wait on one decent sized room.
We started just goofing around looking at people's faces and trying to figure them out or at least making some stories for them, taking pictures of everything and nothing, and of course we had to have dinner somehow so we ate out of the vending machines. When the time was finally near for our flight to srat boarding we hear on the speakers that it would be delayed one more hour.
When we finally were on the plane I just fell asleep even before the safety indications, which by now I think most of us know by memory anyway. When I woke up we were almost about to land, and seeing the desert in the night with only a few lights in the airport so that the plane can land reminded me when I flew to Nice how beautiful it looked. In Nice, the plane has to fly over the sea to make a turn and then come back and land at the airport, in the night the desert near Juarez looked exactly like that. Then again, people might differ, but I was the one who had the flashback so...meh.
