Todays activities included:
- visiting the Elephant Conservation Centre to take an elephant ride, watch them bathe, see the mahouts being trained, and also visit the elephant hospital, where elephants who have been injured (often by standing on a landmine) are cared for;
- visit a Karen hill tribe village and bought some handicrafts, including a rather rustic vest
