Nieuw Nickerie and Bigi Pan

Time to see the other side of the country which is totally different from the rest. It's flat, even looks like home. There are a lot of rice fields there, and ofcourse again some more abandoned and/or failed projects. Nieuw Nickerie, near the border with Guyana however is quite wealthy because of the ricefarmers. It's the 2nd city of Suriname but only has about 12500 inhabitants. It looks a bit like a wild west town, lots of bars and casinos.
Bigi Pan is the swamp area just outside town. Home of 1000s of birds, caymans, snakes, you name it.
