I was back in Stockholm after a long day’s work and an ugly day of travelling from Copenhagen to Stockholm. It was one of the first days with snow in Stockholm this season and when I landed late in the evening everything was chaos. The express train didn’t run so I had to spend 45 minutes in a queue in order to get a taxi towards the capital.

Finally at my hotel I just left my stuff in the room and went down the bar and had a couple of beers before hitting the sack. I tasted to beers from the Gottland Brewery which both was the first time for me; Wisby Weise and a Sleepy Bulldog Pale Ale.

Gotlands Bryggeri (Gotlands Brewery) is a micro brewery that was opened in 1995. Micro breweries have become very popular in Sweden in contrast to the large multinational brewing groups as in many countries in the western world. You can also find these kinds of small breweries in most cities in Sweden now. Among Gotlands Bryggeris product list you can find Wisby Klosteröl (Wisby Abbey beer), Wisby Weisse and Wisby Pils and also the Sleepy Bulldog Pale Ale. The building where the Gotlands Brewery is situated today has an old tradition of brewing beer; it was also formerly used as a local brewery way back between 1855 -1909.

Ja, jeg var sammen med en fra Oslo i de sidste to dage; han sagde at det var helt galt der også.

Det var nu ikke for at der var så meget sne i Stockholm, så jeg var noget forundret over at det kunne stoppe Stockholms Expressen!
