Meeting Serena in Bonifacio!

I had just arrived in the little hotel at the harbour of Bonifacio in Corsica. For me everything here was a new experience; it was my first time on this beautiful island which I already enjoyed from the plane landing at the southern point of Corsica. I had been lucky to meet my Belgian friends David and Inge down here; they were on holiday and I was to spend 48 hours with them and playing 2 times 18 holes with David on the Sperone Golf Course.
I had dropped my bag on the bed in my room; the room was nice and I could hear people below the window but I had no idea about where I was. We had entered the hotel by a back door on a hill and I had walked down 3 floors to my room. I open the shutters and I was truly pleasantly surprised finding that I was overlooking the whole harbour and all the beauty of Bonifacio just below me.
I quickly changed to shorts; it was more than 30 degrees Celsius and my long trousers were becoming annoying. I hurried down the stairs just to find this hotel extremely charming. I waited for David not more than 2 minutes before he came down the same stairs with a big smile; this was life we quickly agreed upon while we found a table and ordered the first beer. I took a Corsican one; Serena.
