Flat beer in England
Together with my good Danish friend who at this moment lived in Brussels we decided to visit Dover; I don’t know for what reason besides it was possible. When we after 2½ hours of driving arrived in Calais we found out that a one day trip to England by car was only something like 70 euro we decided to ring the car along just to watch the British country side.
The trip went fast but our troubles (it is a big word) started when we met the custom; they asked us what we wanted to do in England. We said that we didn’t know because we had no plans or anything. They waved us into the bad guys area and there we were ordered to leave the car: okay with us but could we take pictures; it was a clear no go.
After some time they loosened up a little; we were not bad guys and they started to chat. We asked them about some good places and they recommended Whitstable were they said we could get some good oysters.
The pictures of the beers are taken two different places; the first one being at our lunch restaurant; which served us some tremendous food; the second being from one of the oldest bar in the city.
