Vondelpark meet up!! Our picture was in the newspaper, with tb advertisement
A few weeks ago Rob told us about the vondelpark meet up organized for Sue. They call it pot luck!! Never ever heard of it. We used to call it an American party. But it seems to be the same. What can we bring to have something different. Mandy made a choice, empanadas and a pasta salad. Than Jos, he is not much of a cook he thinks. So we dicided he could bring melon! This was a good choice after all.
On sunday the 5th of july Jos came to our house so we could travel together. We were lucky because my husband was willing to bring us to the vondelpark. So we arrived there at about 12.10. Mandy and Jos had to go to a certain place. Therefore i was sitting on a stone in the park and waiting. A man was passing by (one of the many) i thought this could be a travbuddy, so i asked him.
Rob had 3 bbq's with him and a lot of nice spiced meat. Way tooo much! But great. In the meantime a lot of people joined the bbq. But the person for who the meet up was organized was walking in the park and not able to find us. She really must have been walking there for an hour. Then Keiko was putting on her Sherlock Holmes hat and started to search for Sue. And she succeeded!
The whole afternoon we spent on talking eating and playing.
The afternoon was over in no time, we enjoyed it all very much. Hopefully we can do this next year again!!! Thank you Rob!
Tip: If you are looking for a sanitary stop, go to the film museum. Another tip. Do not buy a bottle of water in that bar downstairs. It is very expensive. 3 euro for a small bottle.
