A friend was throwing a great party. I had to attend.
Convenient to the airport, doesn't cost a fortune
I stayed at this hotel in September 2008. I was happy with my stay so I decided to stay here again when I had to go to Chicago in June 2009. Check-in and check-out was fast and easy. There are 10 floors of guest rooms. This time I was on the third floor and had a western view.

My previous stay was better. This time I didn't have a separate living room. I still had a couch, lounge chairs, a desk, refrigerator and microwave but they were all in the same room as the bed. The air conditioning in the room wasn't very good this time. It never really got the room cold. Unfortunate because the room had a western exposure and got very warm with the afternoon sun.

Most importantly, the room was clean and comfortable. And fairly inexpensive at $70/night. Will I stay here again? I'd strongly consider it for a third visit.

A Great Steakhouse by O'Hare
Harry Caray was a legendary baseball announcer in the city of Chicago. in 1987 he opened a restaurant in downtown Chicago. Now there are three locations in Chicago. I am reviewing the one located near O'Hare airport in Rosemont, Illinois. Harry Caray's Itaian Steakhouse offers tender, prime aged steaks, chops, italian food and seafood in a warm atmosphere. The walls are lined with photos of famous sports figures. Adjacent to the dining room is a bar where you can catch a game on the television. There are also several outside dining tables.

For appetizers, we ordered bruschetta and a seafood sampler. Everyone was pleased with it. Our entrees ranged from halibut to veal parmigiana to a filet mignon. All entrees were cooked to perfection. At Harry Caray's, all food is ala carte. Thus, we ordered a few side dishes for the table. Vesuvio potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus.

Appetizers average around $12, salads $7, steaks & chops $35, poultry $25, seafood $27, pasta $20 and sides $7. If you're looking for somewhere good to eat while you're staying at O'Hare airport, get your butt over to Harry Caray's.
