Ve Tham Quan
In Dalat we ventured off to some tourist attractions. We started off at Ve Tham Quan which is a beautiful garden with a lake and a view of terraced framing land. The most exciting part was the blue tiger clawed orchids. I've never seen anything quite like this before.

Next we went to the Valley of Love. It's pretty much just a green valley with lots of flowers and cheesy. There are a lot of photo opportunities and of course we took part in the fun.

We went to XQ which is an embroidery/silk store. There the whole process of embroidery from concept to actual piece was explained. It's quite an intricate process that can take up to 6 months to complete. It's a collaboration between artist and seamstress and it done by hand. The end result is fantastic.

After lunch we went to a to a couple of temples.
Thien Vien Van Hahn
The first one was Thien Vien Van Hahn. This was quite an impressive temple because it had a 30+ foot Buddha sitting in from of it. The grounds and the gardens were beautiful. Inside some monks were having a prayer service and we were able to observe from afar. The second temple we visited was Truc Lam Zen Monastery. The structures here were beautiful and the grounds were amazing. It took us over an hour to walk around and the best part of the walk was descending the stairs which lead to an amazing view of the Dalat mountains and the river.

Our cabbie drove us to the gondolas but they were closed, so we settled with dinner at a small restaurant, walked around the marketplace at night and topped of with some Vietnamese coffee.
