Located in the picturesque region of Waikato in the North Island of New Zealand, are the remnants of the original Hobbiton village set from Peter Jackson's movie trilogy The Lord of the Rings. The set has been returned to its natural state but a number of the original hobbit holes and some structures from the film set are still present.
