standard in every respect
We only stayed one night in this hotel prior to leaving Nice and it was standard/average in every respect. Nothing amazing, nothing substandard. I actually had to focus to even remember it. One thing it's got going for it is a respectable location - near old city, near the port, next to a supermarket (a rarity!), and a very short walk to the bus station.
It also had A/C, which was a nice touch. Windows open up onto a pretty busy street, but the sound is well insulated when it's closed. TV has been updated to an LCD, which is nice for connecting a laptop and watching something on it before hitting the sack.
We stayed here only one out of five night in Nice because we wanted a decent place that was close to the bus station and for that this was perfect. However, there's plenty more interesting places around in Nice.
Oh, it does have one nice touch - the elevator is out of this world, and ancient, tiny and enclosed within a pretty iron shaft. It's also made out of wrought iron, which gives it a nice antique finish. The lobby area also has a lot of space to relax, have a coffee or tea, or just read. No WiFi though.
