Myrtle Beach, SC August 2007

We drove to Myrtle Beach, SC in late August of 2007. I had been several times before, but my husband had never been to the beach at all. It took us 8 hours to drive there. We arrived before our hotel check in time, so we headed down the road to Subway and ate, by the time we went back to the hotel our room was cleaned. There was 6 of us traveling: my husband and I, his 2 brothers and their wives. We got one room with 2 different bedrooms in it at Beach Colony Resort. We had an ocean view room, not an oceanfront room, but we still had a great view. The first thing we did after refreshing in the room was headed to the beach, my husband was so scared to go into the water because he cant swim. He eventually came out to his waist, and he loved it. We loved playing in the waves all day.
We also love to play mini golf, and Myrtle Beach is the place for mini golf. We did a lot of different types of courses. We spent one day at a local waterpark, going down the water slides and playing in the wave pool was a blast.
Every morning we got up extra early to go to the beach and hope we would get to see dolphins swimming by, but never did. We got to go to Broadway at the Beach there we did lots of souvenir shopping, and watched a 3d dinosaur documentary, played more minigolf, and went to Ripleys Aquarium. We really enjoyed this trip, it was the first trip we had ever taken together. The drive home seemed to last forever. The worst thing about the beach is having to come home...
