Quezon/ Pahiyas
May 15, 2009
Pahiyas, which means "decor", is held annually on the 15th of May in the town of Lucban. During the said festival, the locals elaborately decorate their houses with fruits, vegetables, handicrafts and colorful leaf-shaped rice wafers called "kiping", to honor and thank their patron saint, san Isidro Labrador, for a bountiful harvest.
