Our view from the hotel

Krystal and I are in LGA Airport waiting for out plane to depart for Nassau, Bahamas. As expected, the flight was delayed. We chatted with fellow vacationers also a first timers to the Bahamas. We are SO psyched about this trip just to getaway from everyday life. After 3 hrs on the plance, we were flying over some gorgeous mini-islands with fabolous beaches. No clue if these were part of the Bahamas, where is a map when you need one?

On the Immigration line we were greetesd by a Pirate and the sweet sounds of steel drum music.  Ahhh... we are here, dang, the airport needs to pump up the air conditioner.  We found our transfer van and it was still an hour more till they drop us off to our hotel, Paradise Island Harbour Resort.

Our first last lunch at the Wahoo Grill
The pictures on the website were totally different from what we arrived at.  Our hotel was older (not like Club Med). OK, beggars can't be choosers, we got this 'all inclusive' place on a SALE.

We were starving when we got in and the first order of business was eating a late lunch.  The main dining hall (Captain's Table Buffet) was closed so we ordered out food at the Wahoo's Poolside Grille/  I tasted my first conch fritter with spicy sauce.  I got addicted to this appetiser.  Krystal got her first drink, Goombay Smash (pineapple juice with various types of rum).  We also shared a mahi mahi fish on top of a ceasar salad - this was excellent.

We requested a change of room from the 9th floor to the 12th floor.  She was bummed about the rust on our bathroom door panneling.
Our swimming pool at our Hotel
The 12th floor was a better choice because out view was the overlooking the island of Nassau and the famous Atlantis Beach Resort.

We decided to do little sight seeing before dinner.  We tried to find Cabbage Beach and got kinda lost.  I asked  a local woman and she was kind enough to drop us off the entrance beach pathway.  She even thought that we were college students!  The sun was already setting and we were trying to to take as much photos of the sunset.

I get a HOOT that cars actually STOPS for pedestrians here.  The hotel staff told us that the pedestrians usually get awarded BIG money in the event of an accident.  They drive on the 'left side' here (very British) but some cars still have the driver seat on the left.

We headed back to our hotel an got dinner, buffet style.  The best part was the alcohol was included (all inclusive resort).

This is the video of us frolicking with Maggie, the sea lion.  http://youtu.be/bkJbnHGfWIA

Paradise Island Hotels & Accommodations review
They had too many college teenagers staying there who were destroying the property and making ruckus.
