White Island is beautiful. It doesn’t look so different from the sandbars that I’ve been to. But what sets it apart from them is the dormant volcano as its backdrop. It’s simply breathtaking! I planned to take a lot of pictures of the people and surrounding and be in a lot of pictures too but Lizer was bugging me about accompanying him to the other end of the island or have his pictures taken from another point away from the girls. I kept on telling him that his better off using the tripod because I don’t want to miss the picture taking with my girl friends. But he was so insistent; I obliged to take a picture of him. I mean PICTURES!! Yes! I was trudging between him and my gf’s so I’ll have shots with the volcano background as well. Lizer and I are friends for so long that I know how to ignore his domineering personality with that being said, I am still the easiest person he can bully.
 He kept bugging me and he started to frown at everybody so I eventually complied and went with him. I kept saying this line to him though “this is not what a friend is for”. A chaperon, a photographer! But he just ignored everything I said! :P To add up to my slowly building annoyance, his dslr’s battery is low so to save the batt’s life I can’t freely adjust the settings and that’s minus the fun. I also couldn’t get extraordinary shots because my heart, mind and focus weren’t on it. I was thinking at how many pictures I’ve already missed with my girlfriends. Well, I could have done better with a tripod but Lizer won’t carry it and neither would I so I have to retake a lot of the action shots (blur issues). Grr. Its one of the downside of knowing how to use someone else’s camera’s, you’re always everybody’s photographer.
Although I like taking pictures of everybody, other times I want to be in pictures too, for the memories sake.

I didn’t notice the time passed while I was shooting Lizer’s jump shots until it started to get dark. And, I was like, what? Dusk already? I haven’t swam yet! Lizer realized that too. Then without a word he and I raced towards the others and I would have dove to the seawater if I hadn’t felt the pain in my lungs. I haven’t ran for ages so apparently I exerted myself too much, I was so OUT of air. As I was there at the sand panting, the outrigger boat driver approached me to tell the others that were leaving because the island is only good for hanging out at 6pm. Great! Just great! I so enjoyed myself! Wow. Can we do this again? I reluctantly walked to them and relayed the info the driver told me.
We still lingered for about 10minutes to get last minute pictures until our entire camera batteries were dead. As we were heading to the bangka I kept on whining to Lizer at how much he stole my time that I miss snorkeling and swimming. What he retorted? It’s okay, it’s what friends are for. And I proved yet and again that you are one. And I was like, "ahhhh mannnn!!! If wish I could cut your heads off and feed it to the sharks!!!"

Btw, the Island entrance fee is 20php/head. There is no gate or something that you would expect an entrance fee but stepping to its sand cost that much or say, little. Hehe, The boat ride is 400php round trip. It should only be 300php but well we didn’t haggle, anyway it seems free when it’s divided by 8.
:P

~~~ Turtle Inn (Night 2) ~~~
We got back at around 630pm. I’m beat. It had been a long day so I readily sat on the rocking chair in the loggia while some hit the shower, cleaned the fish, cooked the rice and prepared the noodles for dinner. After resting for a few minutes I was asked to buy red horse beer down the street. I went with Michael trudging down the dark road to look for a store that sells cold red horse. I haven’t changed yet; I was still on my decent swim wear so it was so awkward walking down the street on a see through slip on. The store was really that far from where we stayed. My limb hurt from walking I couldn't wait to change and sleep. When I got back from the cottage I dallied on the balcony to rest my aching feet and limb then took the shower.
I was the last person who took the shower and when I finished, dinner was ready. No sweat! :)
The person who ate last was the one who washed the dishes so I really didn't have to offer and tire myself from standing in the sink to wash 'em. Ahaha! Poor Michael he has to do the job. Washing dishes is supposedly my job but they took the bait when I said that the last person to finish eating will be the person to clear the table and wash the dishes. Haha! Michael doesn’t usually do that kind of stuff so it was nice looking at him struggling at it. Sadist eh? After dinner, I surfed the net while my other friends were watching the making of Taylor Swift videos. I had to stop surfing because an international number kept on calling me. I readily presumed it’s my elder sister and I don't want to talk to her just yet else she’ll reprimand me again why I went with people who drink beers.
Strict! Lol. So I gave the phone to Debbie and forced myself to sleep (which wasn't difficult) so she wouldn’t have a reason to talk to me. I was awakened when my cheek hit the wet part of the pillow. I wondered what it was; at first I thought I was drooling and I was like, drat, since when did I start doing that? Until I realized that I slept with my hair wet.
My alarm clock was ringing as early as 230am. Groggy I woke up and ponder what I have to do that I set the alarm that early. I couldn't remember anything real important so I slept back. It rang (set off) again so I checked my task to see if I have scribbled a task as early as 230. Oh yeah, “charge” it said. So I charged my mp4 and unplug my charger on the outlet then I went back to sleep.
Another alarm set off at 530am and I was like how many times do I have to wake up at night? haha. Oh well, the Jai Ho music was an indication that we need to prepare to leave, one song I hope I wouldn’t hear until later that day. But there it was ringing into my ears so I reluctantly got up and readied myself to depart. We all finished at 6:00am and went outside to take sunrise pictures before heading to the multicab that will bring us to Benoni warf.
We reached the warf 20 minutes past 6am and found out that there was no 7am trip that day. Next trip is still at 12noon. Fortunately, the 6am barge was delayed so we were able to get in to that ferry. LUCKY! We hurriedly bought pastels and ran to the barge. Since we were in a rush I forgot to wait up for my 800php change.
NOT SO lucky! Sux big time as I ate instant noodles the night before just so I can stretch my money until I can get to an ATM in CDO and I lost the last cash I had just like that. :( On the upside, I have two boxes of pastel, I'll sell them to my friends so I can get money for my fare. Ahahaha! Sounds like a pretty good plan. I can borrow from them but I want to sell. :)
After we got on board we didn’t wait long. After 3 minutes we sailed bound for Balingoan.
