There aren't as many corn fields in Northern Wyoming OR What were we thinking ?!?

We got up bright and early to continue on our journey to Yellowstone and were greeted with the sight of snow topping the nearby mountains. What a pretty sight we thought then pushed on to our planned destination. It was quite cold but the car top stayed down in empathy with The Guys.
Hwy 16 between Buffalo and Worland has some great twists and turns and looked be a fun road until the tempurature continued to drop as we gained elevation. Vee began to drive as if there was snow on the ground just worrying about the possibility and The Guys passed The Girls (later we found out that Super Dave needed to go fast enough to use his cruise control as his hands were freezing).
The further up we climbed the bigger the knots in Tess and Vee's stomachs grewas we wondered just how much tred would a motorcyle tire need to maintain traction on the snow. Let's see Super Dave and Grey Ghost got new tires before leaving for the journey, but they have been driving on them for over 5,000 miles and they get new tires about every 5,000 miles..........
I'm glad to report that the road got dry shortly after we crested the summit and we all arrived safely to enjoy coffee at the Crazy Woman Cafe in Ten Sleep. Actually I think the coffee acted more as hand warmers for The Guys then as beverages.
After this drive over the mountain The Girls voted to head south in search of more sun, after all the heater in the car seems to have a definate decline in effectiveness when the temp. drops below 30 degrees :)
P.S. We did find corn fields in Worland, certainly understandable as it was a balmy 47 degrees there.
