Tennessee/ North Carolina border

I had to drive across the country to a new job, with no adavnce notice. There was no way to leave before Friday. Tuesday was my last day at my 'real' job, Wednesday was packing and stuff, and Thursday was feline relocation. After that I had to drive all the way across the country, Something I've always wanted to do, but with more time to do it.

Tennessee/ North Carolina border

Tennessee is an incredibly long state! 450 miles.

The Tennessee/ North Carolina border is in the middle of the Appalachian mountains, and the freeway is about 30 times more twisted than it looks on the map. Probablyy the most twisted intersate in the country. While I'm sure the view is great in the day, I drove through in the middle of the night and was more concerned about not being another cross on the side of the road.
