I had to drive across the country to a new job, with no adavnce notice. There was no way to leave before Friday. Tuesday was my last day at my 'real' job, Wednesday was packing and stuff, and Thursday was feline relocation. After that I had to drive all the way across the country, Something I've always wanted to do, but with more time to do it.

Largest Cross In The West

This cross is easily seen from the freeway for miles in each direction. It's 190 feet tall, and there are other exhibits at the foot of it. I didn't stop here, but I'm sure it would make a good rest stop.

The Texas Panhandle is small compared to the rest of the state, but in the short time I was in it, I crossed about thirty county lines, but never went through a city.
