This time, we want to try riding a bus. We walk along the road of Bencoolen Street until it crosses with Bras Basah Road. At the corner, there is a food court, so we walk-in to have our lunch there. It is very crowded with white collar employees. Lucky us that there is still one empty table there. My lunch this time is totally a disaster. It is a Tom Yang Noodle again, but it is very very sour. I can barely eat that. So, I fulfill my stomach with Ice Kacang as the desert.
We go to Orchard Road.
After finishing the forms, I go upstairs to visit Hanny, Wilson's wife. I meet Wilson in front of the lift. It's nice that we meet to each other again after 6 years or so.
Then, we say goodbye to them, jumping back to the bus again. This time, we took bus no. 123. It goes until Orchard Road but I take a wrong decision. I think it will come closer a little bit more. I'm wrong. Now, we have to get out because it doesn't go the way we intend to go (Around Bras Basah Road). We are getting lost :) The place when we got out from the bus named Clemenceau Street. I give up taking a bus. In Singapore, if you don't have the exact amount it needs for a certain distance, you will not get a change from the bus driver. It is a difficult regulation. We don't have any coins anymore. Left only several 50 dollars in my wallet and it is impossible to let the driver get my 50 dollars without any change. So, I hail a cab and we stop at the hotel for a few minutes just to take the baggage in then straightforward to the airport.
We took the dinner first at Burger King. There are several hockey players from Argentina and Australia. I talked a bit with some of them while waiting for my order. They just played in Johor Baru, Malaysia for the Junior Hockey World Cup (FYI, Johor Baru is located next to Singapore). Germany was the winner, Netherlands the second, and Australia the third. Unlucky for Argentina because it only got the sixth position after New Zealand and Pakistan.
Because it is only 6 pm while our plane is at 9.00 pm, we go around and take the sky train to go to terminal 3, the newest one. This is the last chance for Raka and Rara to take the train (sky train) back and forth.
Our plane is late, 2 hours! We arrive home very late, almost midnight. Tired but somehow I feel that I don't have enough time in Singapore. Well, perhaps next time.
Perhaps next time.
