I never considered to come back to this place, at least for the 2009. How this happened? Well after being working without a deserve stop, decided to change everything. The first tag on the list was the job. During that weird process heard that 2 TB were coming to Peru again and said why not ?
Went to Mancora again.... And since it was not the high season yet, we got good prices on flight tickets and acomodations too. It was the first time I was going by myself, and shit... I learned a lot. Last time was always a family trip, those trips you dont organize anything, just go there and have fun.
This time was going to be very different.
Why Mancora? Well I needed a place to rest, and get all the stress out of me.
We arrived at midday, and the first thing to find out was, how going to the Beach. If you take a fligh ticket, there are 2 places for destinations... Tumbes or Piura. Tumbes is a bite close to the beach, but I dont like that city very much. It is more comercial then anything. I chosed Piura, because we could have nice views, and make a tour if we got the chance.
Well I couldnt get a private car, we tried to rent a car, but it was kind of expensive.
Since it was a hot and hot and hot afternoon, before going to the beach decided to go to take some cold drinks. Yeah passion´s fruit frozen was needed.
We arrived at 5 pm and the other thing of the list was to find acomodations... yeah too bad Keri.... anyway I was quite calm because I had the place on my mind. It was the Buena Vista resort. But since I was not the only one who had to pick the place, we went to other places, and I have to say it , all , well the most of the places we went into, looked great, but convinced the team to go to Buena Vista.
And it has changed, it is not the place I was used to. The reason? There is another administrations people. Now it is not on the top, and I wouldnt recomend that as the first option.... ohhh well I just found that later.
The environment was as crazy as me in that moment. Although we had sun, the ocean was very brave. So much, I didnt swim into, in all the days I stayed there. Yeah I though on "climatic change". Well it is a fact that if the town doesnt think about it, they will have several troubles. Number 1 : It wasnt a Tsunami, it were just high waves, but there were not beach more, I mean there wasnt place to lay down and get a tan. Those days the restaurants at the beach, were more thinking of filling bags with sand and arranging them on the boudaries, so the water doesnt come inside the place.
Positive things I visited more restaurants, and uhmmmm just delicious, Some took a lot of time to prepare the dishes, but other were just excelent and of course, we continue with the wine taste process..... LMAO
The best ceviche I got, was at the town market. It was a nice week.
For going back to Piura, decided to take a little bus. Ok I know the lesson, it is better to take the tickets, at least 5 hours, before the time you want to leave the town. We got sits on time, but it was kind of stressing getting them. We could have lost the flight. We arrived to the airpor during the last call. For luck the airport is very little, or we wouldnt make it.
Maybe I could consider to go back this year, but this time I would plan some trecking. ;p
