Crown Plaza Hotel Changi Airport Singapore

Singapore Travel Blog › entry 3 of 12 › view all entries

I had a last minute work trip to Bangladesh with my company and was able to spend some time in Singapore and Japan as well.
Convenience and indulgence.. all in one building!
I have never given a review for a hotel like this one!! I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport in Singapore while on a 24 hour layover. My flight arrived at midnight and of course the last thing I wanted to do was find a shuttle bus to the hotel.. but I did not have to. The Crowne Plaza is located a short walk from the arrivals area of Terminal 3. There is also another entrance on the departures level of the same terminal. You are greeted by a walkway of walled designs that make you think you've stepped into some kind of "trippy" world. The check-in staff were very polite and efficient.. even including a hand written note from the manager that greeted me to the hotel and wished me a pleasant stay. My room was on the fourth floor which could only be accessed with my room key..(aka good security). The room was incredibly decorated with a tropical feel. The wall that separated the room and the bathroom was glass with a flowered design all over it. That basically meant that anyone could see you showering (or using the bathroom) if they wanted. Although for those wanting more privacy, there is a screen that could be pulled down. The bed was a queen and had tonnes of pillows. The room had a flat screen tv as well as internet access. The internet was 24 US Dollars for 24 hours. This was a little expensive, but with such great value for the room, I didn't care!! Now let's get back to the bathroom!! It had a huge bathtub, a large sink, a toilet and an awesome rain shower!! I used that thing 3 times during my stay!! Included in the price of my room was breakfast which was wonderful. A full on breakfast buffet which had a professional chef preparing omlettes and things right in front of you.
I had such a nice time at this hotel and did not want to leave when I had too!! I didn't a chance to check out the numerous bars and restuarants that it housed, but I am sure that they were incredible as well. I would 100% recommend this hotel.. even if you have longer than 24 hours in the city.. there is an MRT station at the airport which connects you with downtown and in my opinion it's worth it to catch it everyday.. just to stay at the hotel!! :)
The rain shower!!!
