Changi MRT Station
After about 7 hours of sleep, I got up, showered, had breakfast and soon made my way into the city. When I found out that I was coming to Singapore, I contacted all the TBs that I met last year to see if anyone wanted to meet for lunch. Florianne, Omar and Adrian said that they could so we set a time and place to meet. We met at Tambuah Mas.. and Indonesian restaurant at Paragon Mall on Orchard Road. I ended up being a little late, but soon found my way there (thanks to some texts from Matt). I got there and waiting already were Omar, Byiang, Matt and Fiona (other TBs). Florianne and Malvin were going to be a bit late too. We ended up ordering and were soon chowing down on some really good food. I'm still not sure what I ate, but none the less it was good!! About and hour and a half later, Florianne and Malvin decided to grace us with their presence (haha.
. kidding!) so we hung around some more while they ate. We had some good laughs, telling stories about our travels and meetups with other TBs. Once lunch was finished, Florianne and I had some year old business that we needed to take care of.. a trip to Starbucks!! I have very few friends in my life who share the Starbucks passion with me.. and Flo is one of them!! So all of us (minus Omar) made our way to a Starbucks to chat some more. Once again in true TB fashion, we had more laughs, made plans to come to each others countries and visit, and talked about future trips. Around 4pm.. I needed to make my way back to the hotel so I could catch my next flight to Dhaka. We all left around the same time and headed to the MRT where everyone eventually went their separate ways.
I got back to the hotel around 5pm.. (thank God for late checkout!!), showered, re-packed, checked-out.. then checked in for my flight to Dhaka, Bangladesh. I flew this time with Singapore Airlines.. undoubtedly one of the best arilines in the world. The flight was only about 3 hours but the service was impeccable! I got into Dhaka close to 11pm.. then waited for my bags for well over an hour.. Mine was actually the last one to come off the belt. I was met by the hotel staff who took me to the hotel. I checked in, got some dinner, and soon went to bed... What a great day!!!!
