Merrily merrily merrily you will plunge too your ultimate death....

Well gang have left the bright lights of Rio and have stumbled upon the mesmerizing specticle that are the Iguazu Falls! This is like the end of the world people, where someone has pull the plug!  While big black birds circle around in the eerrie mist and spray that is created by the copious amount of water draining over the rocky ravine into this gorgeous canyon that is lined with breath-taking jungle, you feel like you are seriously staring into the end of the earth! You can never see the base of the falls cause there is always to much water exploding massive foam balls 150 feet into the air! This place is so massive that it borders 3 countries (argentina, brazil and paraguay) and you need two days to see all of the falls! There is the Braziliaan side and the Argentina side both with there pros! We checked out the brazil side first and it was just amazing even in the rain, you get a complete overview of the falls and the magnitude of water gushing its way down into the lower river bed.

Gorillas in the Mist
At one point along the trail you go out to the edge of the falls and get saturated by the spray but being rained on for 2 hours beforehand the effect wasnt as thrilling as if it were a hot day! The Brazilian side is alot shorter than the argie bargie side but nonetheless spectacular and if your travelling with someone like Mark (aka kevin the doofus) who is dreadfully scared of heights you will get a good laugh on the Braziliaan side! The following day it was still overcast but not raining so three of the five amigos went to the argie side while the other two snuck into paraguay illegally! Argentina is far more organised and has a massive national park with visitor centre and plenty of things to do including a boat ride underneath parts of the waterfall! You get alot closer to the falls than the braziliaan side and their are many differnt trails to walk.
Condom men
The highlight is definately the Devil's Throat where literally God has ascended from the heavens and pulled a plug on the demon man! Words cant describe it, for a split second i think i contemplated what it would be like going over the falls on my bodyboard cool photo and all but going over the falls while actually surfing can be quite painful so yeah a split second of thought! All in all it has been awesome to behold with my own eyes one of the true wonders of the world when it comes to waterfalls!

Some helpful hints when there, stay on the argentina side as it is far cheaper and still easier to go through the borders without hassle (the boys didnt even get checked going into paraguay, i wanted them to get arrested so i could get a funny photo no luck though), many say do the braziliaan side first before argentina as it is less interesting, i think it doesnt really matter, and if possible do the island walk on the argentina side and tell me how it is (this was closed off as it was flooded!).

Into the abyss
Also just because a song has waterfall in its lyrics doesnt mean you should play it before you go see Iguazu ('dont go chasing waterfall's, listening to the rivers blah blah blah")! In no way does it make the experince any more enjoyable rather you have this stupid melody in your head all day arrgghhhh!

Well hope your all having a ball, im off to the Pantanal for some jungle fun tomorrow peace out!!
