Rampant Rio, the town that doesnt sleep

Well guys this is a real quickkie which i will add to very soon but have arrived safely in Rio and man what a cool place. We are staying at the stone beach hostel and this week it is their 1 year anniversary so last night the hostel threw a big free party which ran into the early morning. I manage to pull myself from the party a venture out in the most dangerous city in the world and WOW, everyone must go to Lapa! Arrived about two in the morning to a massive street party in Lapa, hip pop show playing, random music all down the main strip. Spent the evening watching an awesome Samba band and dancing my white beyonce off all night, it was awesome... Then today backed it up with the world cup cricket, AUSTRALIA ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!! So another party to celebrate. We scored epic surf here as well! I never thought in my wildest dreams that i would say ì surfed Copacabana today´, even now it seems so surreal. You go to pull into a keg look up into the mountains and their is the christ statue in all its glory watching over you, so so so cool. Had a good day surfing and will be doing all the touristy stuff over the coming days but am really looking forward to the favela tour been told it is an eye opening and touching experience. On a bit of a sour note i lost all my photos cause some guy deleted them all, was a rather sad moment but i wont let it get me down so give it time and i will have some more posted real soon okay gotta cruise stay safe everyone and enjoy each day as if it were your last!!!! peace
