Day 6: From Tokyo to Matsumoto

We left Tokyo by bus to start our tour of Japan, heading for Matsumoto. This was one city I really wanted to visit after reading about Matsumoto Castle and seeing its pictures. For 2 nights we would be there.

On our way, we made a stop near Kofu, for some coffee and stretching our legs. In the rest area, the coffee machine worked over time and this coffee machine was something I've never seen before. There was camera/tv inside the vending machine and you could watch the whole proces of your cup of coffee being made!

We continued our journey towards Matsumoto, making on stop along the route at Lake Suwa, close to Suwa City, before we made it to our hotel, the Hotel 1-2-3 in Matsumoto in the early afternoon.

After we freshened up, we walkd towards Matsumoto Castle, where we spent 1 hour exploring the Castle and small garden, before I and someone from the tour group walked back through the streets of the city back to our hotel.
