My 2nd tour of Europe. Going to Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Belarus, Poland and Germany. A great time, enjoy my blogs.
This Was A Little Dodgy
This hotel was part of our Contiki tour to Russia. It was an interesting place. I will let you first have a fair share of the review. First the positives.

Here is a description of the hotel. The hotel complex was built in 1975 in one of the most beautiful corners of Saint-Petersburg - Aptekarsky island of the Petrogradskaya region. The name LDM stands for the Leningrad Palace of Youth!!! The complex is a center of business, tourism and leasure activity is Saint-Petersburg. LDM offers many facilities to keep their guests entertained - a restaurant, bar, fitness center, billiards, bowling, disco and concert hall.
The hotels has 212 rooms and can accomodate up to 426 guests: in the hotel there are 2 apartments, 7 semi-suites, 38 standard semi-suites, 165 single, double and triple standard rooms.

It was a different place. First off in our bath room, the toilet was located almost the front of it touching the wall. So you had to sit sideways on the toilet to do your business.

There was a huge crack in the wall in the bathroom that you could see down into the room below.
The water out of the taps and shower was brown and very dirty.
The windows in the rooms were dirty and never seemed to be cleaned in their life.

The elevators were super slow and the stairway at the back of the hotel was unsafe. We tried the stairs one day and all these Gypsies were living in that stairway. AS well it was really dark and no lights.
The security staff were very shady looking and were almost looking to rob people, as it appeared.

AS well I think the Mafia was residing in the front lobby area as well.

The downstairs place where ate, was dirty as well. The glasses had lip stains and finger prints all over them. The food was greasy and undercooked. The staff were clueless on how to make a good meal.

Overall it was an an amazing experience. If your up for some adventure, stay here.

The parking lot was also kinda crazy as well.
