4.30AM. Our last night in Spain is very humid. It has rained all night long and the field where we sleep has become a mud bath. It is such a pain to pack up under the pouring rain. We get into the car all wet, direction the Port of Algeciras.
It is soooo long. We wait for hours in the car to enter in the boat. We thought we would get some rest during the 3 hours between Spain and Morocco. Actually, we spent 3 hours queuing for all the administrative papers. And we queue again in Tanger, as our boat has no room to arrive in the port. It is the opportunity to chat with another team, Ronan & Matthieu, who will help us a loooot later during the raid. Thank you guys!
1.30PM: we finally are driving in Morocco! We still have to reach our bivouac near Enjil. Landscapes are already amazing and I already feel disoriented with carts, donkeys and overloaded cars all around!
The night has come and we are still driving. We are impatient to reach the bivouac, but the weather does not make it easy. It is very windy and raining a lot. We are going accross lot of mud, up and down in kind of mountains.
10PM: We arrive at the bivouac. The briefing has been canceled because of the weather. In a freezing wind, we queue to get petrol for tomorrow. Soup for diner warms us up, it feels so good! We decide to spend the night in the car with all our clothes on not to freeze again.
A long & hard day is ending!
