Being A Tourist in Sentosa

Sentosa Island in Singapore is the typical touristy theme park. Anyway, we were in Singapore and so we had to see it. We hopped on a train to Dhoby Gaut, took the interchange to Harbour Center and boarded the cable car from Tower One. For someone who fears heights, this was the ultimate Fear Factor experience. Being suspended in cables several meters above sea level is just too much.
Anyway, after a few minutes I got the hang of it and got to appreciate the skyline, and the view. Oh well, if construction sites are to your liking, that is what you will get. The sea sights were nice and make you just realize that you are in a foreign country. Finally, I was excited!
Alighting at Sentosa Island, we were briefed by our guide on the intricacies of being a tourist.
We saw reminders of the Philippines in Sentosa. There was Palawan Beach, Siloso Beach and Bora Bora. These were replicas of our very own beautiful islands from back home. The Songs of the Sea show was new to me. Pretty amazing lightings and theatrics. The highlight of the Sentosa experience for me was this show. The whole thing made me a child again.
