Hmm, what to drink in Porto?
Wow, what a cool city. It's so laid back and reserved here we pretty much chillaxed our days away. We did make some excursions of course to check out the infamous port houses across the river, and get some nice views of the Unesco Heritage waterfront, but we spent a shocking amount of time just wandering through their dripping-with-character streets and alleys. This -feels- like a port city, and you can feel the energy of “the discoveries” times when Portugal was opening up the world via its oceans. On a side note, it's really nicely set out for tourists as well, with free wi-fi in most public spaces, and really helpful and more importantly OPEN tourist offices, and lots of official people milling around confusing bits like their high end metro ticket machines which nobody knows how to operate. Great city.
