Driving back down the mountain we transitioned from the Kotayk region to the Gegharkunik region where
We arrived at the house and rob dashed out the mini-bus almost flattening Merijn and everyone else on the way.
Meanwhile inside some of us had been shown to the dining room that doubled as the master bedroom. Nates and Merijn we joking around about using a green onion as a wedding bouquet and the lady of the house brought out a lovely flower arrangement for them to use instead. Pictures were taken for their children to see. So the lunch went form being just a nice stop to a wedding feast. Once again we had fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, fresh green onions and dill, mashed potatoes, and the beef patties. They also brought out a yogurt based soup that had onions and some sort of grain in it. To drink we had a wonderful homemade spearmint tea.
After the main course our hostess brought out cookies and sat down to try to chat. A couple of the people on the tour knew some Russian and the hostess knew some German. She is an instructor in Armenian by trade. She was very entertaining and smiled a lot revealing the two or there gold capped teeth she had. With a good lunch in our bellies it was time to move on. We all said out good byes and “Dos Vidonyas”.
