From summer in Shanghai China (population 18 million); formerly known as the "Paris of The East" to winter in Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina; often referred to as the "Paris of South America": about 21,000 kms or 12,000 miles travelled.

Best known for the tango, the national music and dance; Buenos Aires is the third largest city in South America. The city population is around 13 million.Regarded as the most European of all Latin American cities, BA is reminiscent of Paris in France, or Barcelona in Spain. The porteños ("people of the port"), as the residents of Buenos Aires are called, are more European too. They are descended from the first Spanish founders and Italian immigrants from the 19th century.
